Freshly Stocked Fish Pond

We have a small spring fed fish pond which is freshly stocked with carp, tench and rudd. Campers may fish for free but must use a landing net and barbless hooks and must put back what they catch. Keep nets are not permitted. We do not provide any fishing equipment. The pond is fenced and gated. The middle of the pond is deep (approx. 2-3 meters). A life ring is situated at the edge of the pond.

Recycling Area

We provide bins for recyclable waste and encourage campers to recycle as much of their rubbish as possible.

Drinking Water

The water in the washing area is safe to drink. We also have a dedicated drinking water tap suitable for filling large containers.

Dogs

We no longer accept dogs on site.

Fires

Fires / BBQs are permitted, so long as they are raised off the grass. Bricks are provided for this. Price includes free use of a fire pit if you do not have your own. You can bring your own firewood or alternatively bags of wood (including kindling) are sold on site for £5.

What Makes Our Toilets 'Eco-friendly'?

  • These are dry composting toilets. This zeros our toilet water footprint and also means that we are not producing any waste water needing treatment at sewage plants.

  • Solid waste is composted so that it can be re-used.

  • Solar panels power the extractor fans and lights.
